We are please to advise everyone that at the December 6th Parish Council meeting Land Registry forms were completed to transfer the land around the Oak Green Parade shops to the Parish Council. This will mean that the land is under the control of the Parish Council and the objective is to do some work on footways, parking, general appearance and the rear of the shops, areas we have previously been unable to touch because it was all private property.

The village survey in November 2005 indicated that most people who replied wished something constructive to be done to the centre of the village, i.e. the area around the shops.

Do not expect immediate action but we hope to form a committee of shopkeepers / owners and other interested parties in order to try and tidy this area up.
